windo e. V. is a network of university and non-university scientific institutions and research facilities in Dortmund. 4.700 members of staff work, do research und teach in these institutes, competence centers, foundations, universities and further scientific institutions. 35.000 students are qualified in Dortmund’s universities every year in innovative just as classical occupational fields. Since 1992 the commitment of windo e.V. and its members has been dedicated to the development of Dortmund as an attractive site of science and research. In particular, the association fosters the internal networking and cooperation of its members. The annual “Day of Science” in Dortmund showcases the variety of scientific performance in Dortmund as well as the transfer of knowledge and technology into economy and society. windo e.V. sets high value on distinguishing itself as a family-friendly site of science.
